ABSTRACT:
A portable rainfall simulator was used to determine Soil Conservation Service runoff curve numbers for fallow rotations at two locations in western Kansas. No-till, stubble-mulch, and clean-till systems were used. Measured curve numbers were compared with published values. Field data supported the estimated curve numbers obtained by reducing published curve numbers up to 10 percent for residue cover.
