ABSTRACT:
Rewritten forms of the universal soil loss equation and the wind erosion equation can be used to display the impact of alternative definitions of highly erodible cropland and soil loss tolerance (T) goals on the acres eligible for participation in the conservation programs of the 1985 Food Security Act. A nomograph form of the equations illustrates land use options and T values by soil erodibility indexes.
