This is the time of year I begin thinking about what we did this year as the first step toward planning and budgeting for next year. If I say so myself, 2007 was a very good year. We made important improvements in the ongoing work we do every year.
We brought on new leadership and staff in our Publications Department. Mark Anderson-Wilk and Jacque Smith brought a new outlook and fresh enthusiasm to the job. You are already seeing improvements in our journal and the Conservogram, and you can look for more in the coming year.
After two years of development and testing, our new online member database is finally up and running, thanks to Jody Ogg and Lindey Krug. Yo u can now renew your membership online, access a directory of our members, and immediately update your address and email so you don't miss anything.
Sue Ann Lynes has taken the lead on a new Corporate Membership program that is strengthening our connections to partners in the business and nonprofit community and at the same time creating a new source of financial support for headquarters and chapters.
