ABSTRACT:
Information on land use, land cover, geologic bedrock, and soil associations for 21 watersheds in the Missouri Ozark Plateau Province was extracted from generalized, readily available maps. Data sources, sampling procedures, and data base development were examined. This information was integrated with observations of stream water chemistry. Land use and cover information and stream water quality observations from the Spring Creek watershed were used to demonstrate a small-scale digital data base approach to a regional stream-watershed investigation.
