Less and different chemicals would be applied. Production costs with HTC technologies are expected to decline slightly to moderately based upon partial budget analysis of the most prevalent production technologies. The benefit from a shift to HTC technology within a ridge tillage system in corn were less. The more environmentally friendly herbicides likely to he paired with HTC seemed to offer some environmental advantages.
