AB A table of Soil Conservation Service (SCS) curve numbers (CN) for computing runoff from Northern Great Plains watersheds was verified and documented. The CN, developed by SCS in Wyoming, were verified using watershed data from western South Dakota, southeastern Montana, and northeastern Wyoming. The CN are for antecedent moisture condition II, which is the normal soil water condition for this area, and are related to range site and hydrologic cover condition.
