RT Journal Article SR Electronic T1 Soil survey data for land use planning: A case study of raspberry cultivation in British Columbia JF Journal of Soil and Water Conservation FD Soil and Water Conservation Society SP 499 OP 503 VO 38 IS 6 A1 H. Schreier YR 1983 UL http://www.jswconline.org/content/38/6/499.abstract AB Using numerical cluster analysis techniques, soils were classified on the basis of seven soil and site parameters into management groups for raspberry cultivation. The soil management groups, which related well to land capability and production data, can be used to determine soil suitability. Land use changes over a 12-year period showed that raspberry cultivation in British Columbia increased while production declined, suggesting that management practices need to be improved. Creation of the soil management groups will facilitate this process.
